Diving medicine, also called undersea medicine, is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of conditions caused by humans entering the undersea environment. It includes the effects on the body of pressure on gases, the diagnosis and treatment of conditions caused by marine hazards and how relationships of a diver's fitness to dive affect a diver's safety. Hyperbaric medicine is a corollary field associated with diving, since recompression in a hyperbaric chamber is used as a treatment for two of the most significant diving related illnesses, decompression illness and arterial gas embolism. Effects of depth and pressureMost diving accidents or illnesses are related to the effect of depth/pressure on gases in the body; examples are decompression sickness, nitrogen narcosis, oxygen toxicity, arterial gas embolism and CO2 retention. Dysbaric osteonecrosis is an example of the effects on the bones and joints of bubbles from decreased pressure in a nitrogen saturated diver. Marine hazardsDangers in the ocean that can affect divers include marine life, marine infections, polluted water, ocean currents, waves and surges and man-made hazards such as boats, fishing lines and underwater construction. Diving medical personnel need to be able to recognize and treat accidents from large and small predators and poisonous creatures, appropriately diagnose and treat marine infections and illnesses from pollution as well as diverse maladies such as sea sickness, traveler's diarrhea and malaria. Well for my 2 year old: Pull-ups - $20/wk Laundry - maybe $5/wk Food - $100/wk Clothing - $30/month Transportation - $15/wk Extra utilities - $5/week? we dont really use any more utilities because of him other than his baths. Medicine - $50 every 6 months or so Doctors copay - $30 every 6 months Child Care - $200/month (expect to pay way more than this, I use family) That ends up being about $210 a week or $30 a day if I added right. Q. The dermatologist gave me some washes and creams for my acne. I used it and it burned a little I left it on all day because I figured it was normal (dumb I know). When I got home my skin was peeling and tight. I washed my face and went to bed. It is still peeling. I stopped using the medicine and am only using dove face wash. What can I do to get my skin back to normal? It is all dry dull and pealing. It is also very tight. I put the lotion I normaly use on it and it burned/stung! this is the lotion I use daily so its not the lotion. It was like a perscription face wash and a few creams.
