Research is defined as human activity based on intellectual application in the investigation of matter. The primary purpose for applied research is discovering, interpreting, and the development of methods and systems for the advancement of human knowledge on a wide variety of scientific matters of our world and the universe. Research can use the scientific method, but need not do so. Scientific research relies on the application of the scientific method, a harnessing of curiosity. This research provides scientific information and theories for the explanation of the nature and the properties of the world around us. It makes practical applications possible. Scientific research is funded by public authorities, by charitable organisations and by private groups, including many companies. Scientific research can be subdivided into different classifications according to their academic and application disciplines. Historical research is embodied in the historical method. The term research is also used to describe an entire collection of information about a particular subject. From Wikipedia under the

With a brick-and-mortar buisness, I get talk to other buisness owners and interview them. But, How do I research a business I want to start on Ebay. I'm trying to write a business plan for a business I want to start on Ebay. I know how much it's projected gross profits, but how do I figure out how much start-up money I am gonna have to have? How many employees to hire. Anybody got any ideas? Asked by Penny - Mon Sep 24 21:42:01 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. You really need the book Rocket to Riches which you can get by going here: It has a zillion ideas and budgets, etc. and what to sell online, etc. Also, an eBay store only costs 14.95 a month. The main thing about eBay is pick a niche' and focus. Build up your positive feedback by buying some products (even cheap ones). You really do not need any employees because with eBay you can automate everything - even your replies. You will need a PayPal premier business account. And it has lots of merchant and auction tools for free. Hope this helps and hasn't been too confusing. A good place for research is actually your local library. They have tons of eBay business books and software. Answered by Orion777 - Mon Sep 24 21:56:02 2007 How could I research the original purchaser of a 1920's Corona four typewriter? Q. I bought a beautiful typewriter a couple of years ago for $25. I use it to write novels and such. I was wondering how I could research the original owner of this typewriter. It has serial numbers, could that help? Asked by AO099 - Sat Nov 22 12:12:40 2008 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Most likely, you won't be able to find out anything. you can contact the manufacturer. They might be able to at least narrow it down to the city which it was sold in. But otherwise, there were no records kept, unless you know the estate that it was out of, and could contact family that is still left. Answered by Jilibean - Sat Nov 22 12:59:28 2008 How do you research and choose a rental property?
Q. Where can one find information on the average cost of a unit type in a neighborhood and the average rental price of a unit type per neighborhood? Is this information compiled and readily available somewhere or would I have to collect and compile this information myself? If so, what is the best method for doing so? Or, would I ultimately be much better off allowing a real estate agent do the research for me? I would like to be able to collect general information on local neighborhoods so that I am able to filter my search for only the best properties in a region. Any suggestions? Asked by Kevin A - Thu May 29 11:44:05 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. You need to ID your market, find the types and locations of the homes they would rent, find out how much they will rent them for, look for homes for sale that match all that, pull out the calculator and see if it works. The best thing do do is pretend you are the renter and start making calls. That is probably the best way to get the info at least to get you started.
