Research can be defined as the search for knowledge or as any systematic investigation to establish facts. The primary purpose for applied research (as opposed to basic research) is discovering, interpreting, and the development of methods and systems for the advancement of human knowledge on a wide variety of scientific matters of our world and the universe. Research can use the scientific method, but need not do so. Scientific research relies on the application of the scientific method, a harnessing of curiosity. This research provides scientific information and theories for the explanation of the nature and the properties of the world around us. It makes practical applications possible. Scientific research is funded by public authorities, by charitable organizations and by private groups, including many companies. Scientific research can be subdivided into different classifications according to their academic and application disciplines. Artistic research, also seen as 'practice-based research', can take form when creative works are considered both the research and the object of research itself. It is the debatable body of thought which offers an alternative to purely scientific methods in research in its search for knowledge and truth. Historical research is embodied in the scientific method. The phrase my research is also used loosely to describe a person's entire collection of information about a particular subject. GNU Free Documentation License What current research is being done on mummification? Q. I have to finish a research paper by tomorrow for my school science fair, and my project is to mummify a fish. But my science teacher has this warped perception of everything, so I have to find some current research being done on the topic of mummification. Does anyone know a good place to find this information? A direct link would be nice. Because Honda is a publicly traded company, you can get some of their financial reports from the Securities & Exchange Commission through their EDGAR database ( Here is a link to Honda's most recent Annual Report/Form 20-F: You can also find information at Honda's Investor Relations page: Unfortunately, any information that Honda is not required to disclose might prove difficult to find because companies want to guard any trade secrets. If you want to find information on their management strategies/organizational structure, your best bet may be in academic or trade journals such as Organizational Dynamics or Personnel Today. If you can go to a public or academic library, I would recommend searching in an EBSCO Business Source… [cont.] Answered by GovDocGirl - Sun Aug 3 11:56:58 2008 What research is available regarding Emotional Freedom Technique?
Q. I try to keep an open mind about complementary therapies and therefore would reserve judgement on them until i find good evidence for them one way or the other. I am myself an alternative therapist. However, i do find it very hard to accept that EFT could work. Therefore, i suppose i have two questions. Firstly, are there good quality quantitative studies available on EFT? Secondly, if they aren't, what kind of protocol for research would EFT practitioners find acceptable? Asked by grayure - Wed Jun 23 15:37:44 2010 - - 5 Answers - 1 Comments A. Plenty of criticism: (Note the above are 2009 studies that analyze previous studies). But this book did it for me: "10-Day Money Makeover: Simple Steps to Create More Money & Financial Prosperity Using Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)" Stinks of pseudo-babble to me. Edit: The asker did ask for "good quality quantitative studies" not scam websites and the usual anecdotal, second-hand nonsense that sucks most alties in.
