A. What is cortal?? You couldv'e done damage. I was told prozac was safe to take while pregnant & I drank for the 1st 8 weeks because I didn't know I was pregnant. My daughter had a low birth weight and a small head circumference which I find out now that can cause disorders. SAhe is now 6 and has behavior disorder and possibly slight autism. A. i know what you mean. i took some pills too when i was about a month pregnant. when i finally accepted my pregnancy, i told my doctor about what i did. she had me do an ultrasound (intravaginal because i was only 2months then) to check on the baby. she also insists on monthly prenatals to check on heartbeats, etc. im on my 5th month now, and so far, all tests seem to indicate baby is fine. however, my doc is saying we can do further tests a month from now. so my advice to you would be to be honest with your OBGYNE about those pills. she would know best how to deal with it. lastly, stop feeling guilty and start praying. and like you, ive come to accept and love this baby inside me, too.
